While the reports on Sir Lincoln (Lincoln Royal Aus) have been great from day one, its good to see these are being confirmed on the track.
Five NZ qualifiers :
Barkley (dam by Live Or Die out of a Holmes Hanover mare),
Lincoln Moment (dam by Falcon Seelster out of a New York Motoring mare),
John The Plumber (dam by Red River Hanover out of a Soky’s Atom mare),
Naya (dam by Grinfromeartoear out of a Fake Left mare),
Aramis (dam by Live Or Die out of a Payson’s Brother mare).
Aramis the first raceday starter on Friday 16 Dec in the $25K Breckon Farms Young Guns ran a very creditable 4th in a smart 1:57 mile rate over 1700m.
Driver Maurice McKendry was full of praise “He’s a real pro, he’s come a long way in a short time. Aramis has real zip will win at two and make a nice 3yo. I’ve also got a colt and filly by Linc that I like.”
Trainer Brian Hughes said “ I’ve always liked him, he’s got great gait, a good attitude and speed. I’ll give him a break and bring him back later in the season. He only qualified 6 days before in 2:08.5 now to run 1:57 shows how much potential he has.”
Bruce Negus ( trainer of John The Plumber) “ I’ve always thought a lot of him, his run on the grass at Methven and that of the Sir Lincoln filly Loissonya to both run under 2 minutes for the 1800m was huge. The colt is on track to run at Addington on the 23rd December”
NOTE: Sir Lincoln ( Lincoln Royal Aus ) has excellent fertility both in NZ and Aus.
A Merry Xmas and a Prosperous New Year to all, and a special thanks and good wishes to those who have made this Linc’s biggest season.
