Thursday at Wanganui

Race 1: Lincoln Valley

“His work on Tuesday morning was nice and, from a good three draw, in a small field, I expect to see him in the finish. Jonathan Riddell rides.”

Saturday at Otaki

Race 2: Lincoln Falls

“He was hitting the line nicely at Wanganui last start and came through that run well. Ace Lawson-Carroll’s 3kg claim will get him down to 56kg which should see him competitive in this field. We will try to ride him a touch handier, ideally just in behind the speed. His work has been good and this looks a nice race for him to bounce back to form.”

Race 3: Platinum Attack

“It was great to see him finally put it all together last start. He is still learning his craft and I think when he finally works it all out we will have a bit of fun with him. Drawn two, Jonathan Riddell should be able to get a good run in behind the leaders without doing too much work early. I expect to see him competitive again. His work this morning was good.”

Race 6: Lincolns Kruz

“It was a disappointing run last start at Wanganui where he played up in the gates. We will use a barrier blanket this time to address that. He took a couple of days to come through that run, so we have had him in the pool a bit and that has really brought him on. He is bouncing around and appears to be back to his normal self. Joe Doyle gets back on him here and, from the good draw of four, he should get a nice run. It’s a pretty handy field so he would need to be at his best to be in the finish.”
