Sarge watches Lincoln Farms’ pair stretch their legs at Royal Randwick

Lincoln Sky and Lincoln’s Command have arrived safely in Sydney and had some quiet exercise this morning under the watchful eye of new trainer John Sargent.

The two promising stayers, raced by Lincoln Farms’ owners John and Lynne Street, flew in overnight from Auckland and looked bright when shown Royal Randwick for the first time.

The pair are in Sydney to target the rich prizemoney and escape New Zealand’s winter bog tracks.

Sunday at Waverley

Race 3: Platinum Tyche
12.52pm

“Mereana Hudson won a jumpout on her the other day and was keen to ride her. Though she has drawn out a bit in nine, she did roll forward in her jumpout with the blinkers on and this is what we will aim to do again on Sunday - get her rolling and keep her momentum up. I am expecting 1400 metres could be a touch short but she did win nicely at the jumpouts and Mereana knows her well now and what she has to do to get the best out of her.”
